Collaborative Divorce 101: Introduction

In this 1-hour live virtual event, Russell Alexander and special guest speakers, Financial Strategy Specialist – Carrie Heinzl, and Ontario Collaborative Family Lawyer – Brian Galbraith, will share their insights and expertise on Collaborative Practice and Family Law.

Attendees will have the opportunity to submit their questions to the panelists to address during the Q&A portion of the presentation. As always, to respect confidentiality, audience members’ identities will remain anonymous.

Russell is the Founder and Senior Partner of Russell Alexander Collaborative Family Lawyers. With over 20 years of experience, Russell offers a wealth of knowledge and expertise in Collaborative Family Law. He uses his experience with a client-focused approach by creating unique solutions for each of his clients to enable them and their families to move forward with their lives in a compassionate and collaborative manner.

Carrie Heinzl, Fairmore Family Law Financial Solutions

Carrie Heinzl is the founder Fairmore Family Law Financial Solutions. Fairmore offers independent, fact-based financial analytics and settlement insights to individuals and couples working through separation and divorce. Carrie is an active collaborative process trainer, co-teaching the introductory program for new collaborative professionals and advanced level trainings for the seasoned practitioner. Carrie has taught statistics, research methodologies and psychology at college and university levels. In addition, Carrie has presented at conferences for the Ontario Association of Collaborative Professionals, Family Dispute Resolution Institute of Ontario Annual Conference, and the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals.

Brian Galbraith, Galbraith Family Law

Brian Galbraith is a collaborative family law lawyer, mediator and trainer. Brian is the owner of Galbraith Family Law which has offices in Toronto, Newmarket and Barrie. He has 15 associate lawyers in his firm all of whom are trained as Collaborative Practice family law lawyers. Brian is the incoming president of the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals (IACP). He has taught workshops at the international level for IACP and the American Bar Association and locally for the Law Society of Ontario and the Ontario Bar Association and Collaborative Practice groups everywhere. Brian completed his Masters Degree in Law (A.D.R.) in 2016.
