In this 1-hour virtual event, our panel of Ontario collaborative family lawyers will be providing practical tips for clients to optimize their time with their lawyer, in order to navigate their legal matters as effectively and efficiently as possible.

Agenda:

1. Be prepared. List your questions in advance.

2. Don’t send multiple emails. Either one email with all salient information or book a call if the topic is too complex.

3. Ordering your CRA documents

4. Getting your financial disclosure ready

5. Focusing on the big picture

6. Doing research

7. Having a social worker/therapist

Audience members are encouraged to submit their questions in advance either upon registration or by sending them to shannon@russellalexander.com.

Registration is complimentary and all are welcome. Registrants will receive an email via Zoom upon registration with their login details for the event.

Russell Alexander

Russell is the founder and Senior Partner at Russell Alexander Collaborative Family Lawyers. With twenty-five years of experience, he uses his knowledge and expertise to serve his clients in all aspects of family law and helps them in coping with the difficulties of separation and divorce, the division of assets such as homes and pensions, and the calculation and enforcement of child and spousal support. He uses his experience to create unique solutions for each client to enable them and their families to move forward and supports them through the transition of divorce and separation.

Michelle Mulchan

Michelle is the senior managing lawyer at Russell Alexander Collaborative Family Lawyers. She has been practicing Family Law for over 10 years and is skilled in all areas of Family Law including divorce, custody access, property division, child and spousal support, and Family Responsibility Office enforcement matters. Her focus is on creating comprehensive, creative resolutions to family law matters. And Michelle excels at helping clients deal with complex financial issues that arise as a result of a separation.

Carolyn is a fully trained collaborative family lawyer who has a knack for developing creative resolutions unique to each client’s situation. Carolyn has been practicing family law exclusively for over eight years since her call to the bar in 2011. She is committed to providing her clients with empathy and sound advice and prides herself on approaching all cases with an analytical and tenacious mindset.

Annie Yektaeian

Annie has been a family law lawyer for over ten years, and her practice includes litigation, alternative dispute resolution (such as mediation and/or arbitration), and, where appropriate, Collaborative Practice, in which she is certified. As a family law lawyer, Annie’s priority is understanding her clients’ objectives, looking out for their interests, and guiding them through the process, whichever route their particular matter takes. Her advice to her clients is practical and informed by professional experience and the knowledge she has gained over the last decade of practicing family law.
