Here’s how Canadians can get an Apple iPad 2 in Canada.
Just by way of background, I heard that the iPads were sold out in Canada and would not be available for 2-3 weeks. I was at the Yorkdale shopping centre in Toronto and decided to check out the new iPads for myself. I have a 1st generation iPad and didn’t know what all the hype was about and didn’t think there was much room for improvement.
The young chap in the store was quite helpful and the new iPad was very impressive, smaller faster, sleeker with a smart cover that was genius. In short, I was impressed. I ask the person when they would be getting some more in stock. He indicated to me that they get stock in everyday but the only way to get one was to reserve online.
He told me to go to apple online and enter /yorkdale. Not the exact link but I figured it out and here it is
The key, I was told was to go to this link at 9:00 p.m. and select my preferred store. The available stock and options come online right at 9:00 p.m. you will have about 20 seconds to make your selection and then all the items usually sell out.
Once you have reserved your iPad 2, simply schedule or reserve a date and time to pick up your iPad 2 at the selected Apple store. When you get to the store show one of the clerks your reservation details, chose your smart cover (recommended), pay and you are out of there in about 10 minutes.
