Amelia Daurio joins the team at Russell Alexander Collaborative Family Lawyers as an Associate Lawyer
Before starting at Russell Alexander, Amelia worked as a lawyer in a litigation-based practice for eleven years. Amelia is client-focused and results-driven, with superior oral and written advocacy skills. She approaches each client matter with compassion, attention to detail, and with the goal of reaching amicable resolutions wherever possible. At Russell Alexander, Amelia will practice in all areas of family law including divorce, custody, access, child support, spousal support, domestic contracts and property-related issues.
Amelia graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Western Ontario where she majored in English and she completed her Bachelor of Laws Degree at Osgoode Hall Law School in 2004 and was called to the bar of Ontario in 2005.
Amelia is a lifelong learner who also enjoys public speaking and taking on a leadership role. She has been invited to share her litigation expertise through presentations and as an instructor at Continuing Professional Development programs jointly hosted by the Law Society of Upper Canada and the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts. Amelia has also conducted other presentations and provided training for lawyers and mediators. She has been on the Board of Directors with the York Region Law Association since 2012.
