Sadly, you cannot get a divorce without spending some money. In Ontario, the only way to get a divorce is to ask the court to make an order, and the court will charge you some money to make that order. You can expect to spend several hundreds of dollars in what are called “filing fees” to get your divorce. You can save some money by filling out the papers with your spouse and jointly asking for the divorce order.
